Let me start by saying that I’ve never had a weight problem, per se and I’ve always been in pretty good shape. But, when my husband, a doctor, packed on 30 extra pounds we started hitting the gym. (He’s of eastern Indian ethnicity and that group is really prone to Type II diabetes.)

I then got into fabulous shape but I always had those big “cheerleader” thighs. No matter what I did, I couldn’t get them toned without them appearing big. To top it off, I started noticing a little cottage cheese on my ass and thighs (cellulite!).

I’m smart/experienced enough to know that I needed to find a different method and went web searching.

Your ULBHTM DVDs caught my eye and I mulled it over for a day or two. I didn’t want to be impulsive and buy the first thing I saw because I thought that I’d likely end up with crap. But, I went back to your Leg, Butt, Hip and Thigh website a few days later and read more of your blog entries. I like your no-nonsense style and I liked that you peppered your statements with a curse word here and there. It told me that while you may take your work seriously, you don’t take yourself too seriously.

I thought, “Wow, here’s a guy that I wouldn’t mind training with in person.” and so I bought your ULBHTM DVDs.

I had a trip planned (big party with friends in Amsterdam) so I didn’t get started right away, but when I did, WHOA! Those simple moves on your DVDs kicked my ass the first time and they still do today! I don’t think I’ll even bother schlepping to the gym anymore this winter. I’m so excited watching my legs slim down while I maintain the lean muscle tone. I’m so excited watching my ass firm up to that tight, 20-year-old appearance.

My AGs and size 7s never looked so good!

Anyway, I wanted to say thanks. I never knew I didn’t have to do squats and dead-lifts at the gym to get great results. Well, now I know.

I can’t wait to see how I finish! Stay tuned…

Hi Joey:

Yes, I am doing the ULBHTM workouts! At first, I was surprised that there was no music, but then I just listened to your direction on how to do each move. After I completed my first session, I realized that before your DVD, I had been doing some of those traditional moves wrong! All my prior attempts in shaping and toning were basically ineffective.

Now, I feel like I have a personal trainer at my home! I really feel like I’ve made progress and I find myself looking forward to the next ‘personal training session’ I’ve been thin/slender all my life, but never had the shapely and toned look that I’ve always wanted. As such, I did not feel “healthy” or “fit”. Finally, I feel like I can achieve that look (and feeling) without spending countless hours at the gym.

I will definitely keep you posted on my progress.

Thanks Joey!

Regards,

Leg Magic Review: Leg Magic Makes Your Money Disappear

The Leg Magic home exercise machine for womens’ lower bodies is a ‘deceptively’ clever device. It’s success is highly attributed to its flashy, dazzling infomercial marketing - as these gizmos are a dime a dozen at weekend garage sales and at your local Goodwill or thrift-shop.
-
So many unsuspecting women are fooled into thinking this silly - one-move, gadget will actually work magic on their butt, hips, thighs and legs. Forget about Leg Magic miracles, ladies… here’s the inside scoop and the real answer to this question I get asked a lot:

“Does the Leg Magic machine really work like the infomercial says it does?”

ANSWER: “Not quite!”

Here’s what the Leg Magic machine does…

The Leg Magic might ONLY strengthen the inner thigh area, and cost you some of your hard earned money and already limited time.

The device was tested by a panel of flabby, out of shape women who were first very impressed by the hyped up infomercial and company generated reviews and testimonies.

After testing out the Leg Magic. The majority of these out of shape women said they would not buy it - they just couldn’t see how this little in and out motion of the legs could change anything on their body - let alone their nasty trouble spots and problem areas.

The Leg Magic ‘exercise dvd’ that comes with it is not a total plan. It’s a wishy-washy bonus that is ‘thrown in’ to the deal to make it more enticing for the viewer to place her order.

For a stiff $180 bux - it’s a questionable spend of your hard earned money.

There is a lot hard to interpret info in the infomercial - and its intended to increase sales of the Leg Magic machine. To see and read recent comments and complaints about the Leg Magic just search on ‘leg magic review’ in Google or Yahoo.
-
One thing the women of this world don’t need is another gadget that doesn’t work and deliver the promised benefits. The smoke and mirrors of the sleazy infomercial business will continue to thrive as long as there are hopeless and desperate women in this world.
-
In her quest to recapture her youth beauty and sex appeal - the typical woman is making many people rich buy reacting impulsively to these sneaky sales infomercials.
-
Instead of wasting your money and time on the seductive ease of the Leg Magic - just follow a simple yet targeted routine with some things you already own, in your house.
-
If you have a soft mat or a thick blanket, a pantry step or staircase and an ottoman or cushioned chair (or couch) - you have everything you need to get your nasty trouble spots and problem areas into firm, tight, sculpted and sexy shape - no matter what kind of terrible condition your legs, butt, hips and thighs are in right now…. and regardless of your age.
-
Have you bought, tried or been interested in the Leg Magic - if so let me know below - by clicking on ‘Comment’…

Womens Fitness: Are you Proactive, Reactive or Inactive?

Now that I’ve aroused your curiosity…

- let’s find the answer to that question…

“Are you proactive, reactive or inactive?”

Throughout various phases of life your ‘active’ type might change -
and this is normal…

You may even find that you are all 3 types of ‘active’ depending on
what aspect of your life we are talking about…

Here’s a recent email from Rosie that shows all 3 types of ‘active’…

Hi Joey

I’m going to be 50 next January and up until 2004, I had a big
weight problem. I’m only short at 5′2″ but weighed in at 72kgs
(158 pounds). [INACTIVE]

I decided I’d had enough and joined a gym but all that did was bulk
me up and make me look bigger. [REACTIVE]

So, I decided to work out at home [PROACTIVE]
and started with resistance exercises, aerobic exercise, weights,
walking and watching what I eat. [PROACTIVE]

I’ve also been doing your abs/core workout on a regular basis (a.m). [PROACTIVE]

I then do your leg, butt, thigh program and at night. [PROACTIVE]

I feel great and have lost 17kgs (37.4 pounds) and have kept it off
for the last few years. [PROACTIVE]

I’m able to wear clothes I’d never before dreamed of wearing, [SexyActive]
I feel so much healthier and I’ve learned that if I want a treat
every now again, then I can have it. [PROACTIVE]

I’d love to offer advice to any of your clients, [PROACTIVE] especially
at my age.

All the best

Rosie Halligan

I’m sure you agree that Rosie ‘taking matters into
her own hands’ is pretty inspiring…

The main thing we can take from Rosie’s email is her level of ‘proactiveness’…

See - you already know where being ‘inactive’ leads you - and it’s
not pretty or pleasant…

What most people don’t realize is there is a very fine line between
being ‘reactive’ and ‘proactive’…

‘Reactive’ is almost like being the ball in a pinball machine - you
just keep bouncing around like crazy - but you never really get
anywhere - very frustrating and humiliating to say the least…

Being ‘proactive’ requires you to analyze things a bit BEFORE you
react - it also requires you to go with your ‘gut’ - or your ‘instinct’
AFTER you’ve given the situation some thought and reflection…

So which would you categorize yourself as? Just click on ‘Comment’ and post below…

Spot Reduction, Spot Toning, Spot Targeting: Does it Really Work?

Women constantly want to know… “Does spot reducing or spot training really work?”

First lets just clarify the terminology… you’ll hear words such as spot
toning, spot reduction, spot targeting, etc, etc… - but they’re
all pretty much talking about the same thing…

And thats means ‘doing certain exercises for a specific part of the body
to get a direct improvements in that part of the body…’

Sounds logical, right?

Lets look at ’spot reduction’… a woman does a series of exercises
for her butt and thighs - while she’s doing the exercises, she
feels a warm, muscle burn sensation in the butt & thigh area - this
warm burn is not the ‘fat and flab burning away’… - it’s actually the
physiological reaction of the muscles to the exercises she’s doing…

This is perfectly normal - in most cases…

Now this burn doesn’t have to happen all the time - this will
depend on the physical ability of the person - whether or not
they’ve done these exact exercises - in this specific order - at
this specific tempo, form, with the same reps and sets, and so on…

So this ‘burn’ is not the melting of fat, flab, or cellulite - BUT -
I repeat BUT… if these moves have been carefully and properly
combined and are done according to a simple plan, what we call an
exercise prescription, - then there is most definitely, absolutely
going to be an amount of fat and flab burned during the exercise
routine.

… AND - most definitely afterward, as the exercise program itself
boosts the woman’s metabolism and keeps it sizzling along - for
a few hours after she has finished her properly structured and
yes, spot targeted - no, make that LASER-targeted exercise
program.

When women ask me… “Does spot training or toning really work, Joey?”

I give them the honest and correct answer: “Yes, it does work - but
only if you are doing exercises that are put together properly… - in
other words if you are following a program that is focused on your
lower body problem areas - and the program has been designed to get
the desired results, CORRECTLY, - then YES - spot training works…”

Keep in mind - you can, and may have already, tried certain exercise
routines that claim to target specific parts of your body - BUT you
were only let-down after several weeks on the program to find that
it didn’t live up to it’s promises and deliver the results you needed.

And this is where the ‘Myth of Spot Targeting’ comes into the picture.

If a program claims to get your problem areas into firm and sexy
shape, but is unable to deliver the desired and anticipated results
then that program is another strike against the tactic of spot
targeting, by falsely ‘proving that it doesn’t work’.

Here’s the Bottom Line…

When done properly - spot targeting works and it works like
gangbusters - “almost like magic”… according to some women.

This is precisely how I structured the Ultimate Leg, Butt, Hip,
and Thigh Makeover DVDs…

If you’re using them… - you know EXACTLY what I’m
talking about in the article you just read…

And I’d love to hear your comments and feedback below…

- but If you’ve committed the unforgivable sin and haven’t
ordered your set of smoking hot DVDs - you must be in perfectly
sexy shape with no room for improvement - or you might still have a
question about the program and how it’s going to help you…

If you have a question, before you get your’s - and get on your way to
the firmly toned, sexy lower body that you are just a few weeks away
from - then just go to the ‘Contact’ page of this site and ask us - or
you can post in the ‘Comments’ below…

Woman’s Worst Nightmare: The Certified Personal Trainer

- by Joey Atlas - ‘The Ladies’ Trainer’
—————————————————————————————————
As you may already know - I do most of my work out of an office and not a gym. I used to spend most of my waking hours in gyms, health clubs and fitness centers - until I shifted my business model a few years ago and began writing books and creating exercise videos…

Well, there are still instances where I’ll find myself in a health club or gym… I may be traveling or I may happen to be near one of our local facilities and I’ll stop in for a quick workout - or I’ll hop into the fitness center here in our community where we live…

Some people call this people watching - but I call it ‘workout watching’… As I’m doing my thing I’ll take notice of what others are doing - or are TRYING to do…

Who Does These?!!!

This goes for both fitness pros and personal trainers who are working with paying clients and for people who exercise on their own without a trainer…

It used to amaze me how many people do things incorrectly and dangerously improperly - both certified trainers and the layperson - but now I know better - and since I’ve taken the time to learn why most people are not exercising properly… It doesn’t amaze me anymore - I just accept it for what it is - and focus on how I can teach people ‘the right way’…

Most women don’t really learn what’s effective and what’s not - they may read some magazine articles and try some of the moves… they may copy exactly what their friend does - or they might just walk into the fitness center and use this machine a few times, go use that machine a few times, etc..,etc… - and then do this ab crunch machine which feels really awkward and uncomfortable - and then onto a cardio piece of equipment for a few minutes or until they’re bored…

Time goes by and they’re not happy with results - or they realize they “forgot about exercise” for the last 7 weeks… and “maybe I should hire a personal trainer! - Yeah - that’s it, I must be doing everything wrong - so I’ll hire a trained professional for a few thousand dollars and then I’ll be in awesome shape!”

So she goes out and ‘hires a trainer’ - which can be done MANY ways, the yellow pages, the local health club, your hairdresser’s plumber’s brother is a certified trainer, they’re everywhere…

I want to make a note here: This is not a knock on ALL certified personal trainers… There are many great trainers in the world - but from what I’ve seen and experienced there are a lot more incompetent trainers out there - that still have a bit to learn…

The BIG problem is… YOU SUFFER because of the ‘bad’ trainer. And here’s how…

You spend a bunch of money for a bunch of one-on-one training sessions with your trainer. You’re really gung-ho at the beginning - because you really feel your investment is gonna pay off and give you the firm and sexy body you want…

Dangerous Position for Neck On Ball

-
After the first few workouts - you feel like you are on the right track - because you feel some muscle soreness after your workouts, you like having an appointment, and you “believe” what your trainer is making you do is exactly what you need….

But several month go by and you’re not happy with your results - you still don’t have the body you want - you still hate seeing yourself naked n the mirror - you hate trying on clothes or clothes shopping…

And at your next meeting - your trainer reminds you that it’s your last session unless you want to pay another $700.00 for 12 more sessions, etc, etc…

Long story short - you quit and decide maybe another trainer can do better… and the story above repeats itself with the new trainer - and maybe you even try it a few more times with other trainers…

And finally you convince yourself - all these trainers can’t be wrong - “it’s gotta be me - this is my genetics or I’m just getting old - or I’ll always be fat and flabby - or I’ll just have this cellulite forever…”

And you end up forcing yourself to take the blame for the incompetent trainers - when in reality - you can get the results you want - you can “get your hot body back” - you just have to do THE RIGHT THING…

But instead you get depressed - you get down on yourself and your frustration and anger get the best of you - and you just give up altogether…

So - the title of this article should make sense to you now… Anything or anyone who convinces a woman that she is meant to be fat, flabby, plagued by cellulite, depressed and unhappy (whether it’s done intentionally or not) is a woman’s worst nightmare - because this can ltierally ruin your life and your health - there’s really no other way to say it.

You may have experienced this - or you may be going through some part of this situation as we speak… Either way I want to know about it. Leave your comments below - and let me know where you are in relation to the typical scenario above…

Before you leave your comment - I want to give you 2 real life examples of what I’m talking about above - here they are…

Desperate Lady Finds Miracle Exercises After Years of Frustration in Gym

TO: Joey Atlas
FROM: Marie Rainey
DATE: Mon, August 11, 2008 - 8:29 pm

“Joey… This is Amazing!

Several years ago I joined a HUGE Gym in Orlando, Florida. I won’t mention the name but it’s very famous. I had a GREAT trainer, she got a LOT out of me with the upper body. But nothing worked I mean NOTHING for my stubborn lower body problem areas.

We did squats, we used that Smith Machine or whatever it’s called. We used that machine for the calves, all of the machines… we even used machines in the men’s section of that Gym and still NOTHING worked. I was working out 5 times a week on my whole lower body - no matter what I did or tried… NOTHING WORKED.

My upper body looked great. People used to come watch her work with me because they couldn’t believe how much I could lift at my age, back then I was 43 years old, but my lower body was just AWFUL. I was doing 200 lunges a week, you name it I was doing it - but no results…

No results… Until I started your program, Joey. And I mean bigtime results, lifechanging…

My legs and thighs are much less saggy and getting more toned and shapely every week, the saddlebags are going away and there is much much less of that cottage cheese look, on the back of my UM HUM “rear-end”, (it was gross, I hated it!).

My inner thighs are not jiggly and I am developing nice muscle tone on the inside of the inner thighs. I have no clue the actual name of that muscle area but I can see it when I look in the mirror in the back - and I love it!

I have found that the Lifting and Toning section has really helped get rid of my Cellulite. Maybe I didn’t have Cellulite but just had muscles that were in atrophy, and it caused my skin to sag and get bumpy and dimply. BUT nonetheless… as soon as I started with the Lifting and Sculpting section, I started seeing results within 4 workouts - not 4 weeks - 4 workouts! VERY FAST…

I started on the Cellulite Reduction guidelines, and it was working great… but I decided to try the Lifting, Toning and Sculpting and then I started REALLY seeing results. Like most women, I was afraid my legs would get HUGE, but they got more toned, firmer and sexier!

And it’s making a MAJOR difference.

I walk about 4 or 5 days per week so this Lower Body Makeover is the perfect compliment. Older people need to know that there IS something they can do about sagging skin on their body! …build sexy muscle tone that lifts your skin…! There is an answer for sagging knee skin and horrid saddle bags… And I’m living proof… Who knew!

This is no small feat. I am 47 years old… So, what this program is doing for me is simply amazing.

Thanks so much, Joey!”

TO: Joey
FROM: Lisa Weinberger, New Orleans, LA
DATE: Wed, August 13, 2008 - 12:37 pm

Hi Joey,

I have been using your LBHT Makeover for a few weeks now and just have to shout, “THANK GOD FOR JOEY ATLAS!! ROUND OF FRIGGIN’ APPLAUSE!! FINALLY, A MAN WHO KNOWS EXACTLY WHAT WOMEN WANT AND CAN GIVE IT TO THEM!!!”

Joey, there’s a very good reason for my profound statement and that’s because I’m flat out fed up with the stupidity and uselessness of these people who call themselves “certified personal trainers.”

I tell you, Joey, I don’t know where they get their information from or better yet HOW the get “certified”, but they should be required to consult with YOU before they even attempt to train women, and MEN for than matter…

I have been through 4 different trainers in the past 5 years and none of them, I mean NONE, have been able to help me tighten this disgusting, flabby area around my pelvic region and lower body, like your program has, and very quickly I must add.

See, I didn’t always have this problem, only my butt and thighs were the original problem (which your program is also doing amazing wonders for). However, I was more concerned with this pelvic area because it’s not what I was used to.

After 32 years of age I started noticing this flabby bulge starting to spill over the top of my thong underwear, then the bulge started coming out from the bottom of the elastic strip waistband, then my waistband slowly started disappearing from sight… Eeewww, yuck!! So, yes Joey, for 5 years I had to put up with this because of my own lack of fitness knowledge and incompetent “certified personal trainers.”

Then, I found YOU and the rest is HISTORY or rather my fat, flab and cellulite are history!!

Thank you so much!! And my hubby thanks you, too!!

Love ya, Joey!!

Exercises for Better Sex, a Better Body, and Better Marriage

There’s no doubt about it - being in better shape means better love-making, intimacy and sex. Please remember - ‘better shape’ is a relative term - I’m not suggesting you have to be a perfect 10. Those of you who’ve been following me for a while know what I mean…

But - what most women don’t know is how fast the sexual enhancement effects of exercise can be realized…

This email says it all:

Hello Joey -

I recently purchased your Leg, Butt, Hip and Thigh Makeover DVDs and as soon as I came home yesterday I started “the Makeover”. After moving the tv room coffee table out of the way, I put my mat on the floor and started the lower body exercises - excellent instructional cues, Joey…

Many of these female exercises are foreign to me but I quickly got the hang of it - and your training instructions make it pretty easy. The exercises are interestingly fun, pretty clever and actually deliver a challenge to strategic muscles - a VERY targeted program to say the least.

I must say, Joey - this is a far cry from the typical body bashing squats, lunges and machine routines I’ve been through at the gym, a pleasant departure, I’ll admit… - I’m just so surprised at how much deeper and evenly distributed I feel your program working - (not sure if I’m said that properly - but you know what I mean…)

Anyway, my husband got home from his office meeting as I was finishing up the last three exercises and he was pretty thrilled to be able to watch me exercising. He grabbed some food and sat down on the couch and said ‘I LOVE your workout outfit, Tee’. He made me laugh so I tried to gently change the subject and asked him if he thought I was doing the exercises properly…

He really liked the dvd and made a few comments about your methods… All of this created a romantic mood in him. He went into the bathroom and posted a note that said “True love lasts forever…”. My heart simply melted and needless to say we had some ‘VERY intimate’ time together - it was wonderful…

This program will definitely enhance many marriages and relationships, Joey - brilliant work - I LOVE this program - and what it’s doing for my body, mind and spirit… ;-))

Many thanks, Joey…

Back Pain and Fitness: Prevention & Treatment of Back and Body Pain for Lifelong Wellness

____________________________________________________________________________________
If you go to the health club to get healthy and fit, look good, feel good and pamper your ego, then I urge you take a minute to think about something…

Do you remember the old adage, “People like to do what they are good at and comfortable with”? Are you living that old adage at the gym? Most people do. They have a set routine at the gym and it’s that routine coupled with the mechanics of the equipment that can lead to trouble–either very quickly or over time.

Here is the problem. Working out can lead to injury, no question. The challenge is in knowing how it can happen and how to prevent it. There are two basic categories of injuries: the sudden accident (a.k.a. trauma) and what can be described as the Process Injury (in other words, the long, slow development of a condition.) My goal is to protect you from both types of injury.

Traumatic Injury at the Gym

Let’s start with the 5 basic concepts of working out in order to show you how easy it is to injure yourself in a traumatic way.

•	Intensity: How hard you work out.
•	Frequency: How often you work out.
•	Duration: How long you work out.
•	Progressive Resistance: Using more resistance with each set you perform.
•	Progressive Overload: Starting at a higher level of resistance at subsequent workouts.

Each one of these principles has the ability to cause injury. But when you couple them with having a trainer or workout partner egging you on to eek out one more rep as you get fatigued, you go into all kinds of contorted positions to get the job done.

All of a sudden, Bam-O! A hundred different injuries can happen. And they will take a long time to heal. You will have defeated the entire purpose of going to the gym in the first place.

Please understand that the body can tolerate a lot of abuse before you pay the penalty of an injury. Just know that injuries can happen in seconds and the effects can last a lifetime.

Injury as a Process

Traumatic injuries do happen. But more often it is the slow progression injuries that are far more sinister and very well may be the root cause of some traumatic injuries. So I would like to focus on what happens over the long term so that you can make a change now to prevent injuries.

I have spent the last 10 years of my life dealing specifically with what are called muscle imbalances and their effects on the back and body. In describing the concept I will use some examples and try to make you aware of what possible injuries you could be facing.

Let me begin by describing what muscle imbalances are and then give you an example. Muscle imbalance can be defined as strength and flexibility of one muscle group compared to the opposite muscle group. So if you compare the strength and flexibility of the quadriceps to the opposite muscle group, the hamstrings, in nine out of 10 people the quads will be overly strong and overly tight compared to the hamstrings. That’s the definition of having a muscle imbalance.

How Back and Body Injures Start!

The quads are always going to be stronger then the hamstrings, so you may be wondering what is wrong with that. Let me give you some possible examples of what can happen if your quads are out of balance with your hamstrings. As I give this example, understand that there are other imbalances that often happen at the same time to develop this condition. For example, the hip flexors and the glutes can be out of balance too.

When the quads are out of balance with the hamstrings, there can be uneven and excessive wear and tear on the cartilage and ligaments of the knee. The knee will not function correctly and conditions will develop to the point were running or physical activity will be impossible.

Second, balance between the quads and the hamstrings keep the pelvis in a neutral and stable position. But when you have overly strong and overly tight quads, your pelvis will be pulled in several different directions. In some cases the whole pelvis is pulled excessively forward. In other cases one side of the pelvis comes even more forward and the hip goes too high, causing the pelvis to rotate. This is very common in physically active women over 40.

When the pelvis is not in the most neutral and most stable position possible, the spine may go into abnormal curvature. It is that abnormal curvature caused by the muscle imbalance that can set you up for hip problems, SI joint problems, back problems and sciatica.

How Does This Happen?

The very equipment you are using at the gym is either directly or indirectly helping you develop your muscle imbalances and setting you up for future problems.

Let me give you some examples. You cannot help but develop raw quad strength when you use the leg extension machine. As I asked you before, do you stick to exercises that you like to do? Let’s face it, everyone hates to work the hamstrings because they are weak and it is hard to do. So most people overwork their quads and under-work their hamstrings.

Another example is the calf raise machine. Again, the calf muscle will always be stronger then the muscles in front of the shin, but when you blast your calves and do not work the muscles in the front of the shin you are setting yourself up for planter fasciitis, heel spurs, Achilles tendonitis and even knee problems.

Let me recap. Working out with gym equipment puts enormous unnatural force through the joint, restricts movements to linear motions and can very easily overdevelop muscle groups. This combined with the development to muscle imbalances—is a hidden root cause of most if not all physical injuries at the gym.

Action Steps

As with any new desire to make a change in your life, you must first have a starting point. There is no easier way to get started then to take an inventory of where you are right now. It will not help you at all to make subjective assessments about yourself and not be honest, so I have a few suggestions:

•	Take photos of yourself. I would not always recommend this. But in cases were your health and wellness are at stake, why not? Here is what you can do. Put on a bathing suit and have someone take photos, front, back and both sides, making sure that you see head to toe. Then take a look–not with a judging eye but a caring eye, looking for areas that are not in balance. For example, is your head straight? Is your head over your shoulders or is it forward of your shoulders? Are your shoulders level? What about your hips, are they level? (Look at your side view and suit line as a guide.)

Those are just some of the areas that you can gauge yourself on. You can also use the photos as a reference of how you are now so you can look back at how you were then.

•	Feel the pain. The best way to assess pain is by asking yourself how you feel in the morning, during the day and at night. With this one you will need to be honest with yourself, and I suggest that you write this down. You can even mark up the photos you took by writing on them at the body part or parts where you feel pain.

•	Listen to your body. If you are working out and you feel a little something and you’re not quite sure what it is, rest assured it’s your body telling you it does not like what you are doing to it.

•	Build your awareness. If you live with fear, worry or doubt about your weight, health or medical condition, the best way to overcome that it is to build your knowledge on the subject. Study what others already know. And remember to always stay enthusiastic about the process. That is the secret to achieving your goals.

If you do not mind I would like to end with a short story of a one of my clients. She is a 43-year-old professional with a desk job. One day she decided that she was going to lose 20 pounds by summer. So she joined the gym, where she took a spinning class, used weights and at the same time trained for a 6K run on Memorial Day. She did this for about four months. Fast-forward to race day. She starts the race and within the first mile she knows she is in trouble. But she decides to finish the race because the pain is not that bad.

I get a call that night. She tells me that she cannot walk and asks if massage would help. I go over that same night. When I get there she is on crutches. She cannot walk. She has foot pain, knee pain and the effects of Piriformis irritation. I agree to work with her and only do what she can tolerate. I then urge her to see a doctor. On Monday morning, she does.

At the appointment she was diagnosed with a bone spur in her heel, a stress fracture on her tibia by the knee and wicked Piriformis Syndrome. As I write this, two months later, she still has not been able to return to any physical activity.

Listen to your body. It may be telling you something…

—————————————————————————————————————————————
Quite often there are concepts in every day life that apply to more than just one aspect of the things that are most important to you.

As an example - there are many lessons that I’ve learned in the fitness business that I carry over into my personal fitness and nutrition routine.

One of these basic lessons has been like gold to me and I’m sure it will help you as well.

A few years ago I started keeping a short list of five questions that I would answer, from scratch, every 6 to 8 weeks or so. As simple as this exercise might sound - it has helped me stay focused and clear on my goals and my true intentions - this is priceless.

Before I started doing this - I found that I would unintentionally ‘drift off course’ - or easily get sidetracked from a major project or milestone - delaying my results or painfully prolonging any progress.

Since I started doing this - my business, my fitness and all areas of my life have improved…

And on that note I thought it would be a great idea to set up several questions that you can keep referring to every few months to help keep you focused and moving toward your goals in terms of your specific body improvement & physical enhancement desires.

Help yourself by taking a minute to answer these critical questions by clicking below on ‘COMMENTS’ just below this article - and feel free to copy and print these for your own use at home or at the office:

1 - How would you describe your worst problem spots, from a physical, visual perspective?

2 - How do these problem areas make you feel? Angry, depressed, fearful, embarrassed, ugly, etc…?

3 - What is your main goal for your lower body? If you could wave a magic wand over your entire lower body area - What would it look like and what would it mean to other aspects of your life? As in relationships, choice of clothes, etc, etc…?

4 - How would you then ‘feel’ after these improvements? Happy, sexy, attractive, empowered, confident, etc, etc…?

5 - How much time are you willing to devote, daily or every other day, to a home exercise routine in order to achieve your most coveted lower body improvement goals? 20 minutes, 35 minutes, 70 minutes, etc, etc…?

I look forward your answers and will do anything I can to help you reach your goals and the body you desire…

Need Cellulite Reduction? Here Are 5 New Ways to Get Rid of Cellulite…

1 - Stop sitting on your ass all day, Sweetheart… It’s a known fact that siting on your ass all day makes it fatter and wider - creating more area, a bigger canvas we might say, for cellulite to show up. And, I’m willing to bet the more sitting you are doing the less exercise you are doing.

2 - Stop working out like a freakin’ lunatic… You can work out ’til you cripple yourself and faint - But that doesn’t mean you’ll get rid of your nasty cellulite. Yes, exercise does help get rid of cellulite - BUT it must be the right type of exercise program - or you are just wasting your time (and possibly making the cellulite worse). I’ve seen this happen time and time again.

3 - Have a lot of sex… I’m not telling you to start acting like an easy fluzy - or is it floozie? Whatever it is - you know what I mean. If you are in a good relationship - then put some more emphasis into the sexual/physical part of it. And don’t be a lame duck who just lays there and takes it. If you want the benefits of cellulite reduction - you have to take the bull by the horns (or the horn in this case) and work it. There are many positions and movements that will allow you to break a sweat as you work your butt, hip and thighs - YEAH BABY! (your man can send me a personal ‘thank you’ via the comment section of this blog ;-)) (NOTE - my third book will be titled ‘Sexual Fitness’). ;-))
4 - Disown your mother… If you have cellulite - there’s a good possibility you’re blaming your mom for it. This is a load of crap - it doesn’t matter what your mom’s ass and thighs look like - you are not her and she is not you - so you can forget about the genetic excuse. Next time you see her - ask her what she has tried to do about her cellulite.

And she’ll say something like - “Oh, darling - I’ve tried everything for this cottage cheese on my lower body. It’s horrible - your father hasn’t made love to me with the lights on in about 35 years - now that I think about it - the son of a bitch hasn’t made love to me in 35 years with the lights off either! Anyway - why do you ask sweetheart?”

Then you ask her - “Well have you ever tried the Cellulite Reduction version of the Leg, Butt, Hip and Thigh Makeover from Joey Atlas?”

And she’ll say, “Honey, you know I was never one for the gym and lifting weights and doing those machines. Is Joey related to Charles by any chance?”

And you’ll say, “You obviously haven’t done Joey’s program - because his program doesn’t involve weights and machines - you can do his whole program at home. I guess there is hope for me after all. I gotta go, mom - I’m ordering Joey’s program - talk to you later.”

5 - Make these easy tweaks to your daily diet… Reduce your sodium intake, reduce/eliminate your intake of artificial (chemical) sweeteners, make olive oil part of your daily nutrition, hydrate (drink water or like fluids) consistently.

BONUS: 6 - This entry was much too controversial and had to be removed… “Sorry”…

Before you go - read the email right there below my photo, you’ll be glad you did…

Do you have cellulite? What are you doing to get rid of it? What have you tried in the past? I want to hear about it…

Joey Atlas

PS - Pam just forwarded me this email - and I just had to share it with you:

“Hi Joey,

I never wrote any product reviews or feedbacks…

- but here I just have to…

Your Ultimate Leg, Butt, Hip and Thigh Makeover rocks!

Ok. here is my story…

I have always been in a pretty good shape even though never really worked out and been to a gym just once;

BUT couple months ago I noticed that my jeans did not fit like before and i saw cellulite on a back of my legs and butt!

I panicked! summer was coming.

I have an office job and barely get up from my chair during the day…here is the result.

I started looking for a gym in my area but most of them do not offer any classes and I just hate treadmill and any other machines; plus i dont really have much time with my job and school.

So i gave up the gym idea and decided to buy some dvds and just do it at home.

I bought my 1st dvd, pilates and hated it. I had to use that rubber pilates band which was really uncomfortable; it even slipped and hit me couple times in a face. I had a good laugh.

Then i decided to browse google for “cellulite reduction”….

I wasn’t gonna buy any creams or do any expensive wrap sessions…I just wanted to see what they offer.

I found your ULBHTM program with a perfect title… leg, butt, hip, thigh… and I just knew that was it.

I couldn’t wait to get started.

At the beginning I did my workout every other day… and only after first few times i could feel and see the results.

I knew it was working!

…i could feel muscles that i never even knew I had …especially my inner thighs and right under the butt cheeks.

And the best thing i was not sore that bad! I did all exercises and full count from the very first time.

Anyways, i am on level 2 for over a week now…and my butt looks like from Victoria Secret catalog :)) well almost… - but its only been a month!

I am addicted to your program, Joey…

I am actually thinking of working on my abs now too…

Do you have any exercise program for that?

Thanks again! - Natalya Nam
