Hi Joey,
Thank you for this email. I know that I am on a list of people you send this to but I am truly grateful for the info I receive from you.
I purchased the Ultimate butt hip & thigh makeover and have been doing it for a week. I broke my ankle (doing something else) around the time when I first got the dvds but have started and it is wonderful. I actually did not read the beginning but instead did both Levels at once with 15 reps each and thought I was going to die!!
I couldn’t walk the next day! (WOW!)
I read the beginning of the booklet afterwards and then realized I should do it in phases.
However, I love that burn feeling because I know its working and it makes me realize I have a lot more to do to get in true physical shape.
I have worked as a manager for the past 12 years at a medical supply company that specializes in Diabetic supplies and equipment in Clearwater, Florida. They recently started a newsletter that goes out to the 1800 employees. Because of my transformation over the last 4 years, they asked that I write an article for the newsletter.
This is what I wrote:
“For years it seemed that I was always battling what I thought was a weight problem. It wasn’t a weight problem. It was a lifestyle problem.
I tried every diet there was. I did the phen-phen diet, adkins diet, no eating – only smoking diet and I lost a lot of weight every time. However, the disadvantage of those diets is that you gain the weight back quicker than you lost it.
It’s also not healthy at all. In 2002, I decided to make a lifestyle change.
I stopped smoking and joined the gym. I swam in the morning and took body pump classes and spin classes in the evening. I also changed my eating habits.
At the end of 2004, I hired a personal trainer and worked very hard. The gym became an addiction. I was in there 2 times a day. The workouts were not easy. I watched the clock the entire time but after the work out I felt great and always looked forward to the next time. In 2006, my trainer gave me an inside invitation to take a class to become a personal trainer. I obtained my personal training certification in March 2006. Since then I have been enjoying my time learning and sharing with others what I have learned.
So many people out there try to find the easy way to lose weight.
There are many diets and pills that will do that… temporarily.
However, unless you make a lifestyle change, that weight will come back….I promise. My advise to those who find it hard to go to the gym is to get a partner to go with you.
Once you go, look for classes with teachers that motivate you and will push you to the limit. Pushing you to your limits is when you see drastic results and that is what I wanted. Most people are not ready to give up their current lifestyle. Therefore, they make excuses for why they can’t exercise. However, a simple walk in the evening with a friend is an excellent way to start. Once you start feeling the results, it will be hard to stop. You will want to do more and more.
I have to give a big thank you to Pat Hale. He was the one that pulled my arm to go swim at 5am!!!
He pulled it pretty hard. No one wants to get up that early if they can sleep for 2 more hours. However, once I went, I was excited about getting up at 5am. Now, nothing could keep me from wanting to go to the gym every day. When someone speaks of an addiction, it is usually a bad thing. This is actually an addiction I am proud of.”
I could show you some before and after pictures. You would then realize why they asked me to write the article!!!!
However, since I got busy at work, it was hard to keep up with the trainer, never had time to really train others and I am not as tight as I use to be.
I am positive, with your program, I will be “tight” again shortly. I am truly motivated and love to get fitness info from “real” people and not people that are trying to scam you into things. I do not get that feeling from you at all.
Please keep in touch.
Thank you,
Cheryl
NOTES FROM JOEY: There is some valuable, experienced based advice and wisdom in the paragraphs above. That being said – I don’t want you to get the wrong impression that you must have a gym membership and a ‘real life – in person’ persona trainer in order for you to find success. Your gym can be anywhere – and you can be your own personal trainer, especially if you are using my programs (that means you are doing everything right
)
